SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The Siouxland Humane Society held their annual Holiday Open House and Bake Sale, on Saturday and Sunday.
The event is hosted every year to raise money for the animals.
Volunteers donate homemade baked goods and apple cider to sell at the event.
A volunteer says they raised more than 600 dollars just yesterday.
“We don’t get any city, state, or government funding of any kind. We rely strictly on donations so this is just an extra way that we can raise money for the animals while they are here,” Roberta Ewell, Volunteer.
The Humane Society is also running “Help the Homeless Pet Drive”.
Donations such as pet food, paper towels, laundry soap, and bleach can be dropped off at their location.
